    I am interested in alkaline foods. You say lemons are in the top 10 alkaline foods, yet when I test lemon juice with litmus paper it shows it is completely acid(ph>5.5) and also watermelon, it’s ph is >5.5. For something to be alkaline it must have a ph of 7 or higher. Grapes and garlic also test acid. How do you decide which foods are acid and which foods are alkaline. I know that soda bicarb is definitely alkaline. Kind regards Jo C
